The typical reason of a woman to fear sports is obvious really. Even for me, an extremely flat chested girl, I would be hesitant to attempt a sport due to the nuisance of my chest movement. Not only would it be annoying, but it would be painful too. I mean, according to new research, nearly one in five women say they are being put off exercising or doing sport because of their breasts. I used to be just like the many women today who aren’t aware of the benefits of wearing a sports bra when exercising. Those who exercise in the wrong kind of bra and then experience pain usually means they stop exercising, which is a shame because if they knew the difference a good sports bra can make, they would have a more positive experience of taking part in physical activity.

There are three types of sports bras, these are:

1. Compression – This compresses the breast against the chest wall to prevent movement. This is more suited to smaller cup sizes.

2. Encapsulation – Similar to the everyday bra, whilst lifting and separating both breasts, the movement is reduced. This is more supportive for larger cup sizes.

3. Combination – This is the mixture of the compression and encapsulation bra and offers more support for larger cup sizes.

Dans-ez will soon offer a wide range of sports bras that will be launched by the end of Novemeber, so keep a look out until then. But for now, check out our famous MBB. Even as ballerinas, we jump around with only a little bit of fabric as support, but Dans-ez supplies leotards with fitted support, which you can check out here.
